Stephanie & Chris Saturday, October 8th 2011 Callaway Winery, Temecula

January 4th, 2012

A beautiful day and beautiful people: From the early planning stages I knew this was going to be a fabulous wedding.  Stephanie’s mother, Apryl was a huge help in pulling all of the resources together and very cleverly put together a great compliment of local wedding professionals to represent her family’s special day.  The barrel room at Callaway was simply breathtaking; decadent and lavish burgundy linens and centerpieces really made a stunning impression as you entered the room.  We complimented the decor with pin-spot lighting to highlight the flower arrangements, sweetheart table & cake.  The cute couple enjoyed a delicious meal and an entertaining slideshow before their first dance.  A lively set of dance favorites filled the dance floor with all ages.  The guests enjoyed country, rock & hip -hop,  yet were very responsive to slower songs as well.  All in all a very successful celebration – great venue, awesome vendors and of course – delighted guests.   Happy New year!!

Mio & Dave’s Wedding on October 19th @ Ponte Winery in Temecula

December 28th, 2011

A truly fantastic celebration!  This was the last wedding of the season for us and it was so fitting that it would be held in my home town of Temecula at the beautiful Ponte Winery.   A complex itinerary demanded a strong focus for the day.  Dave & Mio worked very diligently in the planning stages to put the right compliment of vendors together for an unforgettable celebration.  The beautiful ceremony service was short and very sincere without the usual clichés, but with a beautiful insight to how our couple met and what sort of people they are.

A cocktail reception began immediately following with a scintillating mood set by a jazz quartet which delighted guests.  An introduction of the couple lead to the romantic first dance with a live performance of “The way you look tonight” in the slower style of Tony Bennett.  Then came the San San Kudo ceremony; a traditional Japanese Sake ritual that involves the sharing of drinks, the bonding of families and finally, a communal toast.  The dinner service was absolutely delicious.  The Ponte Winery staff were truly a pleasure to work with – champagne & Sake poured, cake & pies sliced and ready to serve right on time, who could ask for more?

The parents were then honored with a touching slide show that was enjoyed by all before the dance floor was opened up. Initially our bride & groom to be, were worried that their guests might not be a dancing crowd – they were definitely wrong – we had them up very quickly, dancing to current hits and a few older favorites.  The older generation kept up with the younger, refusing to be outdone.  The night ended with a spectacular sparkler send off for the newlyweds with a chorus of cheers.  This was one of those weddings where everything fell in to place very nicely and flawlessly, which, of course is the ultimate goal.  Incredible!

Kimberley & Peter’s Wedding September 3rd @ The Red Horse – Barn Huntington Beach

December 28th, 2011

Another great wedding at The Red Horse. This is why I love specializing in custom designed weddings – there’s always something different and nothing ever gets dull. This wedding was very creatively put together, optimizing the budget to maximum potential. Most of the decorations were hand done by family & friends, and what great friends they had. The toasts really showed how committed Kimberley & Peter are to each other and how friends stick together through all of life’s challenges and opportunities. Kimberley & Peter wanted a nice program of music to compliment their special day. The three of us compiled a progression of many styles and eras of music for an incredible evening of song and dance. The night concluded with close friends and family gathered around to view a slide show of images past & present. The newlyweds were sent off in style with a spectacular sparkler send off. So nice to be a part their special day.

Tyler & Eric’s Wedding Oct. 1st Bella Collina, San Clemente

November 4th, 2011

It’s hard sometimes to put your finger on exactly what makes a great wedding. Well whatever it is, happened at this wedding. A day filled with wonderful people of all ages bent of having as much fun as the day would allow. The day started out with a perfect ceremony and great weather for the fun couple. A heartfelt and meaningful ceremony delivered by officiant Paul Reed set things off, followed by a delightful cocktail hour with amazing hors d’oeuvres and spectacular views of the grounds.
The reception began with great excitement, with introductions and the first dance. I knew when I saw so many smiling faces that this was going to be an exceptional celebration. The adorable wedding coordinator Nubby kept things moving on schedule an told me to let loose with dance favorites, and I gladly obliged. To be honest, they actually wore me out, dancing to everything I played. It’s so nice when you can play all styles of music and still keep a full dance floor. The event staff were very accommodating and served an amazing dinner, there was even a candy station for the young ones and not so young ones alike. Altogether an incredible evening, it was such a joy to play for Eric, Tyler and all of their friends and families – let’s do it again!
